So what makes us so special?

For each and every workshop we use only the highest grade, sustainably sourced raw organic Peruvian cacao butter, cacao powder (non-dutched)  and the finest organic sugars, vanilla and botanicals to flavour. 

Every workshop we run is the height of luxury, without leaving our guests with a heavy conscience and a niggling feeling of being wasteful. All of our ingredients (not just the cacao) are completely organic, free from dairy and animal products, refined cane sugars, gluten and palm oil. 

Unlike the more common African cacao which is dry farmed, cacao sourced from the foothills of the Andes in Peru is farmed in a more sustainable way - using shade growing and retaining many of the plants, trees and biodiversity of the Amazon rainforest. Because we care about our environment and want chocolate production to be sustainable, we take extra care to ensure that our ingredients are sourced ethically, using Fairtrade, Farmer Direct and Rainforest Alliance certified products wherever we can. These programmes help to improve the lives of farmers, as well as teach cacao farmers the best practices for taking care of their land and their crops for generations to come, to make sure that the soil is in good condition and their trees are pruned and cared for. In turn, this helps to support the ecosystem and requires less fertilisation and pesticide use in the long term. 

Not to mention that Peruvian Criollo cacao is considered the finest in the world... 

We have developed our events with minimal waste in mind, especially single use plastics 

We are fully DBS checked, experienced tutors with health and hygiene certificates and public liability insurance

Please note that we work from various venues, guests houses or holiday apartments and our workshops and preparation may include the use of nuts, gluten and soy. Please let us know in advance if you have ANY allergies or intolerances
